JIAXIN NONG

Born in Guangzhou, China in 1988, Jiaxin Nong studied at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and immigrated to Australia in 2009. She graduated with a diploma of Visual Arts from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in 2012 and received a Bachelor’s Degree from the Victorian College of the Arts in 2015. In 2019 Jiaxin Nong was invited to create a collection with ethical Australian fashion brand The Social Collective. Her work has been shown at Artereal Gallery, Melbourne Art Fair, Daine Singer Gallery in Melbourne and Sydney Contemporary. Jiaxin Nong is currently working and living in Melbourne.

We exist to champion Australia’s Women of Colour.

Women – Transgender and cisgender, all those who experience or have experienced oppression as women, including non-binary and gender non-conforming people and all those who identify as women. Self-definition is at the discretion of the individual.
